AGARTALA, June 20 (TIWN): The lifeline of Tripura once again under threat with the rain water is flooding over the road disrupting the busy stream of lives here in the state. The NH-44, NH-8 (from Assam-Khayerpur) across Tripura is suffering due to the bad weather as well as lack of proper water discharging machinery. On Tuesday the office goers were found in much critical situations due to the waist level water flowing over the national highways. From Chandrapur area in Agartala the critical situation begins towards Northern Tripura, whereas in other subdivisions also the situation is not peaceful. The Agartala to Southern part of Tripura is suffering massively from same problem, but that's due to the unseasonal double lane construction work taken in hand that already crossed the deadline.
Apart from that the narrow broken roads all over the state is not only increasing the chances of accidents, but also slowing the vehicle movements. An one hour journey taking almost 3 hours to reach the destination, alleged a passenger.
The Capital-City to Southern Tripura's travellers expressed huge resentment on Tuesday morning as the pakka-road has turned kachha-road due to the double lane work's materials as sands are floating on the road making the way very dangerous to pass. In the dry season the work was going at a snail space, resulting the roads now have become dangerous due to the mud over the road mixed with rain water.
