AGARTALA, 28 July (TIWN): 7th World Hepatitis day is observed throughout the State. As a part of it an awareness rally had been organized from Umakanta Academy’s Mini Stadium by Hepatitis Foundation of Tripura. It is inaugurated by Tourism Minister Ratan Bhowmik.

After inauguration Sri Bhowmik told that in order to root out hepatitis from the State immunization along with awareness is must. Other than that at BijoyKumar Chowhumani in the  chamber  of Gastroenterologist Dr. Amitava Roy’s liver clinic free hepatitis –B &C’s immunization, Medical advice & diet chart is been given.

Many other programmes were also observed.It is known that the number of Hepatitis patents in the State was about 1.5lakh. 90%of them is not equipped with the fact that they are affected by Hepatitis. Other than as a part of Hepaptitis programme Hepatitis Foundation of Tripura had organised a free clinical camp at IGM hospital on Sunday. A seminar was also organized.
