AGARTALA, July 25 (TIWN): Governor P. B Acharya, Chief Minister Manik Sarkar, and other leaders of the State have extended greetings and best wishes on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr to people of the State. In his message, Governor Acharya said that Eid gives the message of fraternity, affection and mutual harmony. Governor Acharya has urged people to strengthen spirit of brotherhood and unity on this occasion.
He has urged to celebrate Eid with spirit of composite culture of India and state. The Governor also wished progress of state and its people on the occasion. Chief Minister Sarkar has extended greetings and best wishes to state’s people on Eid-ul-Fitr. In his message, Sarkar said that this festival following holy month of Ramazan gives the message of mutual harmony, fraternity and affection.
He said that festival of Eid gives the message of serving the humanity. He wished for peace in the state and country. The state and India should continue to progress. He also wished welfare and health of all. He urged people of the state to celebrate Eid with traditional gaiety and enthusiasm.
Leader of Opposition in State Assembly Sudip Roy Barman also extended greetings to the Muslim brethren of the State on the occasion of the Eid-ul-Fitr. He said this festival marks harmony and unity and hop that the people of the state would celebrate the occasion with peace and harmony. Bharatiya Janata Party State president Sudhindra Dasgupta have greeted the Muslim community on Eid-ul-Fitr and prayed for the well being of the community.
