AGARTALA, July 24 (TIWN): The state government on Thursday made minor reshuffle in the medium levels of the state administration. A source inside the Department of General Administration (P&T) today said that Ranjit Majumder, Director of Urban Development Department and Joint Secretary of the Public Works Department (PWED) was relieved from the charge of UD Department.

Additional District Magistrate and Collector of South Tripura district Tapas Roy and Project Director of the DRDA was transferred and posted as Director of the Department of Urban Development, the official said. Additional Director of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department Rk Noatia was transferred and posted as Additional DM and Collector of the South Tripura district. He was given additional charge of Project Director of the DRDA (South).

Director of Youth Affairs & Sports Sahadeb Das was transferred and posted as Additional Secretary of the GA (SA) Department. Additional Chief Electoral Officer Dulal Chandra Das was posted as Director of the Sports and Youth Affairs Department, the source informed.

Subhash Chandra Saha, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) at the State Election Commission was transferred and posted as Joint Director of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department, the source added. Amit Barman Roy, Additional Secretary of Transport and Tribal Welfare Department would hold additional charge of Director of Department for Economics and Statistics. Incumbent Director of the deoartment was posted as OSD at SIPARD.
