AGARTALA, May 18 (TIWN): Amidst massive economic loss Pradesh Congress Chief Birjit Sinha said at Congress Bhawan at 6 PM, "Eventhough strike causes losses, downs economy but under CPI-M Govt 14 lakhs people had been cheated by chit fund groups. Raising the issue strongly was important as Tripura is a poor state and poor people's money is important".

Sinha also accused CPI-M leaders for promoting chit fund in Tripura for their own interest.  

'Public have given very positive response to the strike that has proven people are fed up of CPI-M regime and the corruption', said Sinha.

Sinha further thanked the public for supporting Congress to make the strike as successful, adding that the strike was against both state and central govt.
