AGARTALA, July 23 (TIWN): Tripura (Central) University is embarking upon an ambitious plan of inviting foreign students for in campus admission to facilitate the neighbor to make the state as education hub for South East Asian countries. The university has also published advertisement on the newspapers and Electronic Media of Bangladesh inviting them to join in Tripura campus, said university officials.
According to the Deputy Registrar N Bhattacharjee, University has already started taking admissions of students from Bangladesh.
Recently, some of the students have applied for admission and the process is on its way. Mr Bhattacharjee also informed that if the students are willing to take admission by the 25th of the month, they need not have to face interview and they are directly taken into admission.
It is also known that the University also planned to invite students from other South-Asian countries too. In future the University also tied with other foreign Universities depending upon the availability of the courses of those Universities and similarities in subjects. But for now the admission of students from Bangladesh all set to start in this session.
University is also planning to sign MOU with the Bangladesh University in the coming years. It is known that in the past years Tripura Central University had introduced various academic programs with Bangladesh to strengthen the relationship between two countries. Earlier, Tripura University had signed MoU with a Chinese university.
