KAILASAHAR, July 22 (TIWN): With the initiative of School Education Department, under the Rastriya Madhyamik Siksha Abhiyan (RMSA) scheme, district-wide book fairs will be organised in the 8 districts of the state.
As a part, the book fair will be started in RKI school ground at Unokoti district on August 11 and it would continue till August 14, next. To mark the book fair, a preparatory meeting was organised at the Kailasahar Municipal Council conference hall, yesterday.
The meeting was presided over by the Chairperson of Kailasahar Municipal Council- Minati Bhattacharjee. Altogether, 25 stalls will be unbolted during the fair. Besides, cultural programmes will be organised in every evening of fair.
The Vice-chairperson of Kailasahar Municipal Council- Kantilal Deb, Chairman of cultural and sports affairs standing committee of the council- Madhumita Roy, ICO Manik Lal Malakar, District Education Officer (DEO)- Shyamal Das, Officer of Sports Department- Saman Biswas including many other officials attended the preparatory meeting.
