AGARTALA, May 9 (TIWN): AGARTALA, May 9 (TIWN): Tripura Police yet to recover from slumber even after corrupt DGP K.Nagraj's removal by Union Home Ministry from Tripura.
Eventhough Unakoti Police Super Ajit Pratap Singh said that the grenades found are active yet, but they left as it is on the spot, without moving them from there.
However, whereas it has been branded as 1971's grenades, but no special investigation was done to prove the bombs belonged to that era.
Bomb Squad SI Babul Debnath and his team has inspected the spot and will send reports to the higher authority.
It's worthy to mention here that Police recovered 127 grenades buried underground in northern Tripura. Local villagers said that the grenades might have been buried during the Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971.
