Tripura farmers facing losses due to unseasonal heavy rainfall, storm

AGARTALA, April 28 (TIWN): The unseasonal rainfall across Northeast Tripura have caused massive losses for the famers.
Reportedly, vegetables as well as crops have been damaged due to the unseasonal rain occurred in last few days.
Whereas other states were hitting heavily due to high temperature, state Tripura had been suffered from flood like situation.
The extent of damage is unclear as state governments are yet to collate data on crop loss and send it to the centre.
Moreover, Tripura had received highest rain fall among all Northeast states. Mostly at Gomati Dist, South Tripura the losses were high.
