NEW DELHI / AGARTALA, April 23 (TIWN): The Niti Aayog's Governing Council is meeting begins with the prime agenda of discussing the 15-year Vision Document to accelerate the country's economic development.
With around 30 Chief Ministers in attendance, the meeting is also discussing the government strategy over the next seven years and a three-year action plan.
Tripura CM Manik Sarkar also remained present in that meeting.
At the meeting, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the vision of 'New India' can be realised "only through the combined efforts of all states and chief ministers". The think-tank's day-long third meeting is being held after 21 months at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Later in the evening, PM Modi will meet the chief ministers of BJP-ruled states.
