AGRATLA, April 22 (TIWN): A constant rain has heavily disrupted Northeast India’s normal lives on the onset of summer. Whereas Capital Delhi is suffering heavily from 39 degree temperature, Tripura’s temperature downed to 26 degree. After constant rain for the whole day, the transport has been heavily disrupted across the hilly state Tripura. Same with the other NE states including Assam, Arunachal, Shillong. However thunderstorm accompanied with squall and hail was also experienced at isolated places over SubHimalayan West Bengal & Sikkim. Heavy to very heavy rain observed at a few places with extremely heavy fall at isolated places over Assam & Meghalaya., Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura. The feeble western disturbance as an upper air cyclonic circulation over eastern parts of Jammu & Kashmir and neighbourhood at 3.1 km above mean sea level is moving away eastwards, that increased the chances of cyclone in next few hours. The upper air cyclonic circulation over south Pakistan & neighbourhood over northeast Arabian sea & adjoining Saurashtra & Kutch between 1.5 km and 3.1 Km above mean sea level persists. Rain/thundershower very likely at a few places over northeastern states & adjoining East India and at isolated places over Western Himalayan region and extreme peninsular India.
