AGARTALA, April 20 (TIWN): After one part of IPFT held a meeting at Press club, another group led by NC Debbarma also held meeting on Wednesday.

On the other hand, the other group led by Kishore Reang and Rajeswar Debbarma asked the members to fight back against NC Debbarma and his team and to judge whether he has constitutional rights or not.

On April 16 the divided IPFT conducted a meeting at Agartala Press Club.This meeting was confined with leader led by Aghore Debbarma, who suspended N C Debbarma for 6 months.

 It's should be mentioned here that IPFT has now 2 teams, both claim themselves  as IPFT leaders and also a case is going on at High Court regarding which group owns IPFT.

 This meeting also drew a number of supporters raising voice for Twipraland, a new state which as per their demands should belong to the tribal community and they are strictly against any alliance with INPT. 

On the other hand, with the exit of N C Debbarma, now former IPFT leader Harinath Debbarma reportedly to enter the party.

A source said that already Harinath Debbarma held a meeting with Budhu Debbarma and Binay Debbarma.

Source further reported, in 2002 due to NC Debbarma’s plotting against Harinath Debbarma, the party had to banish Harinath from ADC Election.

Harinath Debbarma also alleged that N C Debbarma wanted to rule over all IPFT, which led the party to banish Harinath Debbarma.

However, Harinath Debbarma’s come back will directly make him the President. 

But the ultimate decision is on High Court’s verdict which will decide the party actually belong to whom.
