Gandacherra, July 16 (TIWN): In a shocking incident, a five-year-old minor girl was raped by a 15-year-old minor boy at Ramesh Kabiraj Para under Raishyabari police station in Gandacherra sub-division, yesterday. Though a written complaint was logged today in the police station but police could not arrest the allegedly accused boy.
It is being reported that the child girl regularly used to go to play in the neighbouring house of Sujit Roy (15), a resident of the same area and son of Narendra Roy. Similarly, she went to Sujit’s house on Tuesday in the afternoon while nobody was there in the house. As a result, taking the chance of her loneliness, Sujit allegedly raped her brutally. Later, following a long search she was found in Sujit’s room by her mother around 5.30 pm, last evening.
However, her parents lodged a written complaint, case no- 12/2014 against Sujit Roy at the Raishyabari police station, this morning. But police could not arrest the allegedly accused boy.
Of late, the victim was taken to the Gandacherra sub-divisional hospital led by the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO)- Debchand Chakma for medical check-up. After receiving the information about the incident, the Superintendent of Police (SP), Dhalai- Kishore Debbarma visited the pace of occurrence.
Suppressed resentment is prevailing among the locals of the said area as the minor girl was allegedly raped yesterday. The residents have demanded for proper justice.
