Agartala, July 15 (TIWN): The Family Welfare and Preventive Medicine Department continuously reviewing about the stock of medicines for the malaria afflicted people in Tripura. There is no dearth for the necessary malaria medicines now, the concern department informed it, today.
Altogether, 1 lakh RD kits landed in the state to diagnose the malaria parasite among the fever patients. Today no incident of malaria death was reported from any part of the state, an official source confirmed.
In addition, to prevent the malaria epidemic in the state, the concern department is organising health camps regularly while a total of 73 health camps were organised across the state today. Altogether 1, 83, 274 fever patients were treated in different medical camps and health centres. Out of them, 32, 333 patients were identified as malaria affected across the state. In total, 3,963 medical camps were conducted till today.
According the sources, out of 3615 fever patients, today 959 patients were identified as malaria afflicted all over the state. In total 1009 fever patients were admitted in different health centres across the state today while 474 patients were found malaria affected among them.
