DHARMANAGAR, April 11 (TIWN): Japanese Encephalitis Vaccination Campaign continues under North Tripura District. At Dharmanagar BBI school Social Welfare Minister Bijita Nath inaugurated the campaign on Tuesday.
In order to make the vaccination campaign successful, collective efforts from elected representatives, Administration, Education Department, Social Welfare & Social Education Department & Police have been properly placed in North District which helps to run the campaign without hindrance. Medical Officers, Health workers, teachers, Angwandi Workers and ASHA has been actively working to mobilize students and vaccinating the targeted children to protect from Japanese encephalitis, a deadly & mosquito disease.
Vaccination is the only effective way to combat the disease. All parents, guardians, teachers are requested to bring their children to nearby vaccination centres or MCH Clinic of hospital to vaccinate the children aging 1 to 15 years. It is pertinent to mention here that only vaccinated children may be protected from this disease.
