Chakka Jam paralyzes Capital City

AGARTALA, April 10 (TIWN): A one hour long chakka jam from 12 PM to 1 PM protesting Central Govt's decision to increase taxes for drivers, has paralyzed the capital city on Monday.
Amidst high temperature, when the City was running busy fueled by reduction fair, then CPI-M backed CITU's pre-announced chakka jam paused the capital city.
Earlier, on April-7 in a press meet led by Union President Manojit Ghosh and Secretary Soumitra Chakraborty told media that Central Govt has hiked various taxes for vehicle drivers and across the nation protests are going on.
In this regard, on Saturday a rally was also conducted in the afternoon.
