AGARTALA, April 7 (TIWN): Tripura Central University has slipped its position in National Ranking drastically, whereas Assam and some other NE state Universities set their positions upper than Tripura University.

MHRD has declared 11 central University as a non-performing University, Tripura University is one of them.

The only central university in the state has slipped drastically in the national rankings from 87th rank in the academic year 2014-15 to 196th rank in 2015-16, as per the findings of the National institutional ranking framework (NIRF).

The Union human resources development ministry on April 3 released the new ranking.
