AGARTALA April 2 (TIWN): On the occasion of Shahti puja, a huge number of devotees were seen at Agartala Durga Bari on Sunday.

The Shashti puja's ‘tithi’ is mainly from Sunday evening whereas the next 3 days to be celebrated as a part of Saptami, Ashtami and Nabami, to be ended with Dasami on 6th April.

Basanti Puja's actual essence is still alive across rural Tripura.

At Udaipur on the bank of Jagannath Bari lake there is a ancient Durga temple and the value of Basanti Puja is there equivalent to Saradiya Durga Puja.
