KAMALPUR, April 2 (TIWN): The celebrations and observances of different days and dates turned to be mere rituals at present. And the rituals got decorated with the lofty speeches of the poilitical leaders. It never mattered if those leaders got any practical or deep rooted knowledge on the topic. Hence, now a days, people often used to escape such ocassions. In this perspective Science and Rationalist Association of Kamalpur observed the National Science Day on 28th March quite differently.

They arranged for discussions, quiz and presentation of facts among the students of different schools. On 16th, 17th, 23rd and 28th March the Association hold programs in four different schools like Baligaon High School, Durai Shibbari Class XII School, Baralutma Class XII School and Salema Colony High School.

In those discussions the Association members and the school teachers elaborately discussed the life and works of prominent scientists. They also discussed on the silent poisoning of student minds' to religion, the cause behind unavailibility of scientists' statues and the continuous killing of rationalists and scientists.

The students participated in those programs enthusiastically. The Secretary of the Association Dulal Ghosh thanked all and wished that the students might gather some materials from those programs to be inclined towards science.
