AGARTALA, March 28 (TIWN): Local people of Kailashahar's Hourer Bazar blocked main road for 2 hours long, demanding immediate solution to their daily problems.
Reportedly, they had 2 demands : one is to solve power cut problem and another is to diminish the water scarcity in their area.
The 2 hours long protest led massive traffic jam at Kailashahar road and only after DWS Executive Engineer Chandan Pal had promised to solve the problem within 15 days then local people withdraw their protests.
It's worthy to mention here that clean, safe drinking water is scarce in state but most of the rural people in hilly Tripura don't have access to it and power cut is a regular part of the common people; although in the main city the problem is little less.
