AGARTALA, March 13 (TIWN): Railway Protection Force personnel of N.F.Railway recently arrested three persons oÂn charges of running fake Railway Recruitment Cell in Agartala. oÂn getting reliable information from sources, Asst. Sub Inspector of RPF Shri B.P.Das alongwith other staff conducted raid in railway premises at Agartala. But the person running the racket shifted the place to civil area. RPF then immediately informed local police of nearby Amtali police station in Agartala. The prompt action by RPF and local police lead to arrest of three person two female and oÂne male alongwith many fake documents and about 77 numbers appointment letters seems to be fake.
Name of the arrested persons are (1) Promod Kumar Das, M-42, s/o lt. Nilkanta Das of Manik Bhandar, PS-Kamalpur, Dist-Dhalai (Tripura), (2) Mousumi Chutia (Sarma), F-32, w/o Rinku Sarma, PS- Mangaldai, Dist.-Darrang (Assam), (3) Krishna Kanu, w/o Rajesh Kanu of Hailakandi, PS- Katlicherra, Dist .- Hailakandi (Assam). All the above persons were taken into custody and a case was registered under section 420(B) & 34 IPC.
It is to be mentioned here that, N.F.Railway authority has been regularly advising aspiring candidate of railway recruitment examination not to be cheated by any touts who might promise job in railways through improper means. All recruitment in the railway is done by the Railway Recruitment Board or Railway Recruitment Cell as per merit after due notification and examination procedures. Such drive will continue in future.
