Agartala, July 3 (TIWN): To make the three-tier Panchayat election violence free in Tripura, the District Magistrate (DM) of Dhalai district- Dr Milind Ramteke in an order directed to deposit the licensed fire arms to avoid any kind of violence pre-election and during the forthcoming three-tier Panchayat polls.
The DM directed to deposit all the fire arms and gun powder to the local police stations under Ambassa, Salema, Kachucherra and Kamalpur areas as per the Arms Act 1959.
According to the order issued by the DM Dhalai, all the fire arms and gun powder has to be submitted by July 09. It was also mentioned in the order that strict action will be taken as per the Arms Act- 1959 if anybody violates the order.
If fire arms and gun-powder found to anybody after July 09, then the person will be responsible as accuse and all the fire arms and gun-powder will be seized. This order will be applicable till the conclusion of the three-tier Panchayat election procedure.
As per the order issued by the DM, all the fire arms will be returned after the election. This order will not be applicable for the police, CPMF, armed force and armed forest guards.
On the other hand, the District Magistrate (DM), Gomati- Sonal Goel in an order directed the same and to deposit the fire-arms and gun-powder by July 08.
