Kamalpur, June 30: Malaria outbreak continues in Dhalai district. After visiting the malarial affected areas of Dhalai district on Sunday, the members of Tripura Human Rights Organisation (THRO) claimed that still a vast number of malaria afflicted people are suffering without treatment in the hilly areas.
“DDT was not sprayed in some of the areas and medical service is still at large. As a result, malaria epidemic is increasing in the state endlessly”, said the central committee member of THRO- Pintu Datta.
While addressing the media, the team also denied the claim of state government that malaria outbreak is in control in the state. Embezzlement is going on over the supply of medicines because allegedly the state government could not level the supplied medicines till date, asserted the THRO team members.
A contingent of central committee members of Human Rights Organisation inclufing Pintu Datta, Debajit Guha Roy, Kamal Chakraborty and Belarani Chakraborty visited Gandacherra and Ambassa sub-divisions on Saturday.
