KAILASHAHAR, Feb 8 (TIWN): On the one hand, ADC areas are undergoing heavy tensions due to the 12 hrs strike called by regional parties and on the same day at Kailashahar Congress organized a massive protest demanding better health service. Police reportedly by force had arrested all the protesters and booked them to police station. Demanding a Homeopathic hospital and a Dist Hospital as well as indoor service inside the present Dist Hospital Tripura Pradesh Congress on Wednesday was scheduled to meet the Bhaganban Nagar Hospital Super named Dr. Satyajit Paul. But even after informing him in advance Dr. Satyajit was absent on that time and after waiting for long Congress supporters blocked the road near the Hospital. The protest was led by Dist Congress President Badrujjaman, General Secretary Rudhendra Bhattacharjee and NSUI leader Nirmal Malakar. All of them including 50 more protesters were arrested.
Police said that their hour long protest was halting transport movement before the hospital collection.
Before 4 years the Dist hospital at Kailashahar was inaugurated by CM Manik Sarkar, after the foundation stone was laid by the then Health Minister Tapan Chakraborty.Reportedly, for the sake of Super Special Health Service, at Bhagaban Nagar under Kailashahar Central Govt allocated Rs. 15 crores. But till day the Eye-Dept. is left handicapped there.
The Hospital till day failed to provide indoor service except eye service although at the same time other District Hospitals have launched the services.
This incident has created panic at Kailashahar as already due to the strike called by regional parties many clashes have been held in last few hours and in this condition the arrest of Congress leaders have created more tensions.
