KHUMULWNG, Feb 8 (TIWN): The youth Indigenous People's Front of Tripura (IPFT) as a part of ADC Strike have sat on Highway on Agartala-Khowai route.

This has created much problems for the common people.

Reportedly, due to the road blockade the route has been fully paralyzed but tension gripped the ADC areas as the Govt has protested against  the strike and all offices were asked to function smoothly.

The strike was called jointly by 3 regional parties of Tripura IPFT, INPT and NCT--- each of the parties have different ideologies but based on Tribal-Empowerment.

This has led the Central and State Govts to sideline the parties due to their faulty communal ideology.

The protest is mainly targeting the Modi Govt for proposing Citizenship-Bill-2016, which is a Hindu supportive Bill saying that before 2014 the Hindus who came in India will be given Indian Citizenship.

According to the Regional Parties forum, new citizenship should not be given to the people of Tripura who came after 1971, they are Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Afganistani  in actual. Hence the Govt can send new Citizens to Andaman Nikobar Island or Lakshadweep, where population is less.

However, Tripura CPI-M, BJP have opposed the strike, whereas Congress has supported it.
