AGARTALA, Feb 6 (TIWN): In last many years so many foreigners had not visited Tripura that 58 US Citizens were seen at North Tripura’s tourist spots.

But instead of well treating them, the tourists were fooled by a guide named Nabarun Bhattacharjee. Allegation raised against Bhattacharjee for not only taking triple moneys from the foreigners while delivering food, but they were not given proper places as per their paid amounts to Biswash.

The tourists were visiting Jumpui Eden Tourist Lodge, but the lodge which is specially made for foreign tourists although offers beautiful sitting places but the tourist were made to sit under the sky, but the charge was taken so high from them.

Reportedly Nabarun Bhattacharjee has not done  it for the first time, but this is his day to day activity.

The lodge offers 46 rooms for tourist by the Govt but the tourists were not provided with those rooms. The money which he took just went to his pockets, source said.

On the one hand due to the blessing of National Highway no tourists visited Tripura in last few years, but due to BG connection and express train the foreigners have started to come here, but lack of hospitality have left the tourist with bad experiences.

The tourism dept. of Tripura is now under the hands of few brokers like Nabarun Biswas.
