Tripura celebrates National Immunization Day-2017

AGARTALA, Jan 29 (TIWN): Along with the whole nation, Tripura also celebrated the National Immunization Day-2017 across the state.
At Agartala East Jogendranagar, Najrul Colony a programme was organized in this regard where children under 5 years age are administering polio drops.
In an effort to maintain the country's 'polio-free' status, President Pranab Mukherjee launched the pulse polio programme for 2017 had on Saturday by administering polio drops to children aged below five years at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.
The programme, which is reportedly to cover 17 crore children under five years of age, including state Tripura.
In other subdivisions also the children under year 5 are administering polio drops.
