Agartala, June 24 (TIWN): A 20-year-old student’s hanging body was recovered inside his room of the National Institute of Technology hostel in Agartala, this morning.

The deceased was identified as Bishal Yadav, a civil engineering student of first year NIT, Agartala, confirmed a police official of Jirania police station. The deceased is reportedly a resident of Uttar Pradesh, confirmed police. He used to stay at NIT hostel.

It is being reported when his neighbouring students knocked the door of Bishal’s room, they did not get any response from him. For that the students informed to the police immediately around 10.15 am, this morning.

After receiving the information, police of Jirania police station rushed to the spot and recovered the hanging body. Later the body was sent for post-mortem, confirmed police.

“We have informed his family members about the incident," the police said. The actual reason of the death is yet to be ascertained, said police. After the death of Bishal, a panic has been triggering among the hostellers. No suicide note was found from the spot. Police are also interrogating Narender's friends and hostel management to get some leads in the case.
