AGARTALA, Jan 18 (TIWN): Why a section of politicians screaming over demonetization ? Could media reveal the reality of demonetization picture ?, said Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy.

Tathagata Roy slammed the politicians, people who screamed over demonetization and termed them as ‘those’ who keeps money under the mattress.

Talking in a workshop held on cashless and demonetization Tathagata Roy said that a section of people had so much problem with this demonetization and this activity reveals that this surgical strike had hit them badly.

“Few people keep money under mattress and this is the chief reason behind their anger”, Roy said.

The Governor further raised the topic of actual scenario behind the demonetization pains. “We have seen the pictures of long lines before ATMs, Banks that’s true, but no media showed the picture of villages. In rural areas public’s lives are very simple but some media and politicians manipulated the public suffering and did partiality while depiction the demonetization affect”, Roy said.

“Notes which were till day under pillow and mattress have come out with this surgical strike. Now many people are using PTM, DAVID cards for their uses. The lines before ATM and banks have also remained no more”, said Roy.
