AGARTALA / SABROOM, Dec 18 (TIWN): Bank consumers suffered a lot as banking operations came to a halt on Monday due to BSNL link failure. Banks particularly SBI failed in providing service to its customers. However, asking about the worse condition of service, bank officials did not provide adequate reply.SBI service across the state is becoming deteriorated day by day. Officials are allegedly said being doing work not properly. With SBI e-corner being implemented, bank officials are further getting an excuse from doing work.
Work at bank branches across Sabroom Sub Division were also hampered during the day due to a link failure at BSNL's end. BSNL provides connectivity to all the banks in the region. The banks lost four hours of the day due to the snag, which not only hampered transfer of funds in some cases but quite a few ATMs were also not working.
Speaking to TIWN correspondent,SDO(T) BSNL South Tripura mentioned that there was a problem in different parts on the way to Udaipur Sabroom Roadway which led to the link failure. The BSNL team tried to resolve the crisis at the earliest to avoid inconvenience to the general public," he said.
