TMC Interns held protest demanding more stipend

AGARTALA, Dec 17 (TIWN): TMC Interns held protest on Monday demanding hike in stipend amount. On Monday from morning 10:00 AM interns started gathering in the campus holding play cards.
While speaking to TIWN correspondent, TMC official denied to give any information. While on a visit to the hospital, play cards were seen on the hands of protesters demanding hike in stipend amount to Rs.18000 and equal payment for same work. Demands were also raised on sanitary and water scar city problems.
TMC deployed private security guards against protesters. Situation would be more tough on Tuesday because of non teaching staffs joining the protest.
