AGARTALA, Jan 7 (TIWN): Tripura police organized a debate competition for the school students on the topic of ‘‘Society has responsibility in controlling crime†at Rabindra Bhawan on Saturday.
DGP K Nagraj inaugurated the programme at Rabindra Bhawan.Various school students participated in that programme and stressed upon various sensitive issues.
Students debated on various topics as—‘Police and Society : whose responsibility is more in diminishing crime?’
‘Can citizens diminish crime? Can people make a crime-free society ?’.. etc.
During his speech, K Nagraj said that in compare to the population the number of police is very less in state. So police can’t be present everywhere to control the crimes, rather the Citizens also forward their hands in diminishing the crime
