KAILASHAHAR, Jan 5 (TIWN): Whereas around 2000 families left homeless and more than 110 families have taken shelter in refugee camps, the Tripura Govt after 48 hrs of passage gifting the victim families Rs. 150 each.
In a visit to Unakoti Dist Tripura Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty at Jamtail Bari ADC Village where 90 families were identified as victim families, among them 22 families are yet homeless.
A section of people have taken shelter under temporary constructions made with bamboos and straws.Since last 2 days atleast 22 tribal families are passing their days and night at refugee camp, whether no one visited the spot.
However, after 48 hrs of passage, the Education Minister Tapan Chakraborty made out his time from his busy schedule to meet the victims.
However, he ended by compensate them with only Rs. 150 per each family.
