Khowai, June 17 (TIWN): For the protection of public life and poverty and to maintain the law and order in the forthcoming three-tier Panchayat election properly, the District Magistrate and Collector of Khowai- Abhinay Halam today imposed an order on the movements of the people from 8 pm to 5 am in the 500 meter India-Bangladesh International border area at Khowai sub-division.
But, this order would not be applicable for the Military, Para-military forces and Tripura police who are deployed to maintain law and order. The emergency patients would be out of this command. This order would be valid from June 15 upto October 13, this year.
This direction will not be imposed for those who are lawfully permitted by the Superintended of Police, Khowai or District Magistrate.
As per the order issued by the DM, if anybody violates the command, he or she will be convicted under section 188 of Indian Penal Code.
