AGARTALA, June 15 (TIWN): West Bengal Left Front chairman and CPI (M) politburo member Biman Basu on Sunday criticized increasing dearth in discipline among party cadres and said that ‘comrades’ of today should learn from the life of Late former West Bengal Chief Minister Jyoti Basu.
In the context of the present political situation in Bengal, party comrades must impart lessons from the life of Jyoti Basu. “Basu maintained very close contact with party comrades despite all the busy schedule that he might have. This is something that party cadres of today must learn”, he said.
Speaking at a commemoration convention to mark the 100th birth centenary anniversary of Jyoti Basu at Agartala today, Biman Basu said.
He recalled the engrossing political career of Basu since the inception of his political career in 1940 till his retirement from the post of Chief Minister in 2000.
