New Delhi, Dec 14 (TIWN): Members of an NGO on Tuesday met Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday and urged him to form separate cells for noise pollution control, terming in a law and order issue.
The NGO, Satya Foundation said the Home Minister gave a "positive response" to proposition, and said he would take up the issue with the Environment Ministry.
"We told the Home Minister that noise pollution is a law and order issue.
"The Home Minister appreciated the idea and promised to take this issue further, after talking to the Ministry of Environment," said Chetan Upadhyay of the NGO.
Tripura is suffering majorly from this pollution, but the govt is not taking action, resulting disruption of normal lives everyday evenafter night 11 PM.
