Agartala, June 13 (TIWN): Nababodhan, a dance academy of Agartala is going to organise a cultural function "Saswata” at Sukanta Academy on tomorrow. The principal of Nababodhan dance academy- Piyali Banerjee informed it in a press conference at Agartala press club, here today.

Subhasish Talapatra, the justice of Tripura High Court would grace the programme as chief guest while the editor of Tripura Darpan Patrika and cultural organizer- Samiran Roy will inaugurate the function. The national award winning prominent writer and dramatist- Agnikumar Achaejee will be present in the programme as special guest.

During the Nrityasandhya organised by Nababodhan, the artists would perform on seven classical dance styles of Indian classical dance along with Bharatnatyam and light dances.

On the other hand, a student of Nababodhan and competitor of Dance Bangla Dance season -8 Madhurima Bhattacharjee will perform a special dance in the programme . The programme will be organized by Nababodhan in collaboration with Abhoy Mission, a welfare society for children.

A dance drama ‘Nari’ will be staged by the eminent artists including Debasish Bardhan Roy, Subrata Debnath, and Dr. Debalina Bhowmik will perform songs in the dance drama based on place of women in present society which will be represented by songs and poems of Rabindranath Tagore.
