AGARTALA, Nov 30 (TIWN): Tripura Chief Minister Manik Sarkar on Monday said that Modi Govt is moving to make a ‘Cashless society’ and trying to convert the whole nation into card payment system; and the Union Minister Arun Jailtey urged Sarkar to be a part of the move.
But Sarkar denying the idea told media that how can a cashless society will be created, without enough number of banks?
‘In case of Tripura, do we have enough number of banks? Where the poor people will go?’, said Sarkar.
‘Demonetization just has created an Economic-Disorder. No other country took such a sudden decision. From the beginning we were very clear against the demonetization step taken by the central govt and I’m strict to it till day’, he added.
‘The country lacks banks and with this step more chaos will emerge here’, Sarkar said.
‘Let the old notes run till the new notes come, atleast till 30th December’, he added.
