AGARTALA, Nov 23 (TIWN): Tripura Jagaran Mancha held a press meet on Wednesday at Agartala Press Club protesting against the demonetization of Rs. 500 and Rs.1000. According to Jagaran Manch, the central Govt without any advise taken from the expert, decided to go with the step, which has put the common people in trouble since the day of demonetization.
The demonetization seems just to serve a section of people only with much political gains, they added.“We do not have any objection in black money curbing, but the unnecessary harassment which is done to the common people should not be tolerated”, the said.
On the other hand, PM Modi is repeating his intension again and again to the people.
"I am not here for myself or my associates but self or my associates but for the welfare of poor people," an emotional Modi told MPs in the morning."This decision is in favour of the people and against black money, corruption and counterfeit currency," Modi said. He hinted that the demonetisation decision was just a "beginning of the government's crusade against black money and corruption", and such type of actions would continue.
