AGARTALA, Nov 15 (TIWN): Protesting against the demonetization of 1000 rupees notes, 500 rupees notes CPI-M held protest at Agartala.
In this regard CPI-M kicked off a rally from Agartala Rabindra Bhawan and they walked around the city.
All the anti-Modi parties now have come in mass protest against the demonetization of old currencies.
The Chief Ministers of Delhi and West Bengal, Arvind Kejriwal and Mamata Banerjee, will participate in a march on Wednesday to Rashtrapati Bhavan to press for the rollback of the Centre's demonetisation decision.
Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference leader Omar Abdullah is also expected to join the march led by the Trinamool Congress.
The Congress on Tuesday tore into the demonetisation scheme, saying that it was in reality a move meant to bail out those with black money.
On the other hand, indelible ink will henceforth be used, as is done during elections, to prevent people from making cash withdrawals more than the permissible limit from bank counters, the government announced on Tuesday.
However, CPI-M in their central committee meet also discussed about the same issue on Tuesday. Now it’s to be seen how far the demonetization affect the politicians, black money holders as common people have expressed satisfaction with PM’s decision.
