AGARTALA, Nov 15 (TIWN): Chief Judicial Magistrate of Udaipur, Gomati Tripura, has convicted two accused persons namely Kanu Miah S/O- Lt. Sona Miah and Ranjit Miah S/O-Kanu Miah both of Rajarbag PS R.K Pur, under Gomati District, U/S- 447/354 IPC.

Reportedly, in 2013 Dec, WRP PS Case No. 2013WRP147 U/S- 448/354/506/34IPC, was registered on the basis of written complaint of the complainant against those accused persons for outrage of modesty upon the complainant at Rajarbag Nazrul Colonyl,PS  R.K Pur.

After investigation, charge sheet was filed by W/SI Madhabi  Debbarma, I.O of the case on 26-01-2014, against the accused persons namely (1) Kanu Miah S/o Lt. Sona Miah (2) Ranjit Miah S/o Kanu Miah both of Rajarbag PS R.K Pur, under Gomati District; vide WRP PS C/S No. 06/2014 U/S- 448/354(B)/506/323 IPC.

The trial Court on appreciation of evidence found the accused persons namely(1) Kani Miah (2)Ranjit Miah is guilty U/S 447/354 IPC & sentenced them to suffer R.I for 1 (One) year for the commission of offence punishable U/S 354 IPC & R.I for 1 Month  for the commission of offence punishable U/S 447 IPC both the sentence shall run concurrently.
