AGARTALA, Nov 13 (TIWN): Central Govt Employees Coordination Committee (CGECC) held its 9th conference on Sunday.

The conference was held at Agartala Press Club with committee members.

In pursuance of the recommendation made by the Second Pay Commission, Govt. of India had set up an inter-departmental committee in October, 1960, to undertake a review of the existing welfare arrangements of Central Government employees and make recommendations for improving the same.

The Committee made a number of recommendations covering various aspects of welfare activity such as working conditions, transport, medical and educational facilities etc.
