AGARTALA, June 07 (TIWN): The BSF (Border Security Force) authorities will conduct a separate investigation into the incident of killing of a BSF man in a clash between the border guards and villagers along the India-Bangladesh border south Ramanagar area of Agartala, said BSF spokesperson.
He said an investigation team has been constituted to probe the Friday night incident and told to submit report within seven days. The state government has ordered a magistrate-level probe into the incident.
Meanwhile, the body of deceased BSF man was sent to his native place after post mortem. Initial report shows, the BSF had several cut marks.
Earlier, after receiving body of late Ismile Mia from G.B. Hospital in presence of DM and paraded streets of the city with a mourn rally. After arriving at Fire Service Chowmuhani. They demanded that DG of BSF should arrive on the spot. They also demanded magistrate level investigation of the incident and punishment of the accused jawans.
Besides they also demanded financial compensation for family of Ismaile Miah and for all the injured persons. With this demand the organized road blockade for some time. Later a 10 member delegation met DG of Police with demanding punishment of BSF personnel involved in un provoked firing.
