Agartala, June 7 (TIWN): The West district administration would organize a special Lok Adalat in the premises of District Magistrate office here on June 9 and 10 next.
Chief Secretary S K Panda would inaugurate the programme while Secretary of Revenue department Swapan Saha would remain present there.
Under the Tripura Land Revenue and Reforms Act-1960, as many as 300 cases would be taken up for disposal in six courts. Of the total cases, 200 cases fall under Sadar and Dukli revenue mouja. Altogether 150 cases would be taken up for disposal each day.
On the same days, bank officials would remain present in the Special Lok Adalat where 320 loan recovery cases would come up for disposal. The highest number of pending cases would be taken up by UBI (180) and followed by SBI- 100.
The bank authorities have already issued notices to the defaulters asking them to remain present in the Special Lok Adalat.
On the same venue, public recovery demand related cases under Sadar administration would be taken up for disposal. There would be four courts to dispose of 144 cases.
