AGARTALA, June 7 (TIWN): The Tata Consultancy Service (TCA) has already submitted its feasibility report on setting up Rs. 5000 crore fertilizer manufacturing company to the ONGC authority, official sources confirmed here today.“I have come to know that the TCA has submitted feasibility report to the ONGC management but I have not got opportunity to study the reportâ€, said ONGC’s Tripura Asset Manager VP Mahawar here today.
Two-day ONGC’s Business Development and Joint Venture Committee would be beginning in Delhi on June 11. “I am going to join the meeting in Delhi. In the meeting, I will try to know the progress of another mega project”, Mahawar said.
The oil giant has already inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chambal Fertilizer and Chemical Ltd to set up the fertilizer manufacturing company.
Sources said, the site for the proposed project is yet to be ascertained by the ONGC though the state administration has been making all out effort to provide required land for it.
Mahawar further said the ONGC management has already awarded Engineers India Ltd (EIL) to complete the gas pipeline laying work from Madhupur to Manarchak power plant.
“Local contractors have already begun work while EIL engineers would be visiting the state very shortly to undertake the pipeline laying work”, he said.
Here it may be noted Shivani Oilfield Ltd was given the task to lay the pipeline from Madhupur to Manarchak but it could not finish the work.
