KAMALPUR, Nov 10 (TIWN): The construction of road side broke the water supply line of DWS at Fulchari at ward number 07 of Kamalpur Nagar Panchayat four days ago.

During the period the department contiued to supply minimum quantity of water. But neither the contractor was punished nor the department itself arranged for the maintenance.

After a long tussle and after the death of a school boy namely Sagar Ghosh almost a year ago, the construction of the roadside drains of Fulchari-Ramdurlabhpur road got some pace recently.

During the construction the water supply line got broken four days ago. The contractor left it. The locale informed the matter to the department. But the department adopted no measure against the contractor nor rectified the fault.

  Rather they continued to supply drops of water in tankers. And the commoners continued to struggle for drinking water.
