Sabroom, June 6 (TIWN) : In a case of horrendous crime against woman, a mentally impaired woman was gang raped, burnt to death at Harina Bazar,Sabroom on Thursday night 12.30pm midnight. Beside NH44 in Harina Bazar, adjacent to a door of a community hall, woman was gang raped, burnt to death by miscreants. Later after arrival of police and victim’s son Mridul Kanti Deb, woman was identified as Mrs Alorani Deb, her semi-burnt body was tied up and hanging off the grills of community hall window.

Due to strong public protest in Sabroom , police jumped into action and arrested culprits Yubaraj Tripura, Dhanumohan Tripura and Dilip Majumdar, a businessman in Harina Bazar. Culprits were drunk on Thrusday midnight, took advantage of hapless lady’s mental condition, gang raped her – then to abolish evidences they tied her to iron grill of community hall window, burnt her to death.  Hearing this news, Tripura Pragatisil Gramin Congress President Subal Bhaowmik rushed to spot and met Addl SP of Police Biplab Deb and demanded exemplary punishments for the culprits  immediately.

Of late in Tripura, increasing torture, rape, murder on women has increased to alarming level. Unless Govt initiate strong measures, common man losing confidence on Police Administration.
