KAMALPUR, Nov 3 (TIWN): The trumpeting demand of glaring development in infrastructure and service sectors in the state often became the matter of controversy.
And probably the controversy became stronger as often the demands not met the reality. And such a fact got revealed here at BSM Hospital, Kamalpur.
At a time when the hospital got busy to renovate the hospital in every possible way to hide the loopholes and shortages prevailing throughout the year, then the popular OPD of Ayurveda remained without doctor for 112 days at a stretch. And the authority not arranged for any doctor in that period.
The Ayurveda and the Homeopathy OPDs of BSM Hospital remained popular to the patients for a period of time. People virtually attended the two departments frequently.
But the Ayurveda department remained without doctor for 112 days at a stretch. The doctor Manilal Das last attended the hospital on 14th July. From the next day he never approached the hospital.
Only a chemist and a GDA staff served the patients with medicines for some common diseases. The staff tried to contact with the doctor several times but in vain.
More interestingly, the doctor not went on leave. But the authority not adopted any step in this regard. And the commoners had to suffer.
