Agartala May 29 (TIWN): Knee and joint specialist from Apollo Gleneagles Hospitals, Kolkata- Dr Ranjan Kamaliya is in the city to offer consolation to patients suffering from knee and joint disorders. In a press conference, Dr Kamaliya informed it at Agartala Press Club, here today.

Knee problem is one of the most common problems many face daily. The most common causes of chronic knee pain and disability are arthritis, osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Most of the time, people are ignorant about risks and resort to self medication to get relief from knee and joint pains which can manifest into major health problem.

While addressing the press conference, Dr Kamaliya said, “Knee and joint problems not only leads to an extreme painful condition and ushers a host of other medical issues but also seriously affects the social life of a person and his/her entire family, since it compromise the movement- our basic necessity.” It would take around 3 months to get well completely after the knee transplant, he added.
