KAMALPUR, Sep 21(TIWN): As an effort of the social responsibility Kamalpur Nagar Panchayat organized a voluntary blood donation camp at the office premise here today. In that camp almost 50 donors got ready to donate blood.

The camp was inaugurated by MLA Anjan Das. In his speech he thanked the effort of Nagar Panchayat for being involved in the social works. He claimed it as a result of the State Government’s continuous effort to boost up voluntary blood donation.

And he expressed his wish that, in future, the Nagar Panchayat would be able to arrange such camps in each and every ward of this Nagar Panchayat. Other guests also praised the effort and expressed hope to spread it among every corner.

Former representatives of Nagar Panchayat, present Councillors, Dr. Bidhan Das and Dr. Gopinath Barman were present and spoke under the president ship of Chairperson Subrata Bhatatcharjee.

After the discussion, the blood donation started. Youths from different wards were found in huge numbers to voluntarily donate blood. However, the Nagar Panchayat authority expressed that, 50 donors would donate blood in this camp.
